Position Overview

We are seeking an attentive and dynamic Production Planner to join our team. This role is a combination of stock management, purchasing and planning (training will be provided in the planning aspects of our business).

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, and the ability to interpret and manipulate data into usable reports. Advanced IT skills focused on Microsoft Excel, SharePoint and its suite of apps are a must have, as much of the role is computer based.

We are looking for someone who is able to work individually and have the confidence to make decisions, as well as having a strong team work ethic.

Experience in Planning or Stock Control is of course an advantage; however, we are very much open to someone who can do some of the requirements with a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse large and complex datasets to identify key trends, patterns, and insights
  • Develop and maintain data models and databases for efficient data storage and retrieval
  • Design and implement data collection systems and processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of data
  • Conduct statistical analyses and predictive modelling to support business decision-making
  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualisations to effectively communicate data findings
  • Develop and maintain production schedules, considering factors such as customer demands, production capacity, and inventory levels
  • Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to gather accurate demand forecasts and ensure that production plans meet customer requirements
  • Monitor production progress and troubleshoot any issues that may arise, adjusting schedules as necessary
  • Collaborate with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of raw materials and finished goods
  • Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels to meet demand and avoid stockouts or overstock
  • Conduct regular stock reconciliations to ensure accuracy between physical stock and system records

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficiency in I.T. (Microsoft Apps, Excel in particular)
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.

What We Offer:

  • A creative and collaborative work environment where your ideas are valued, and your contributions are recognised.
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth within the company.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • A supportive team that is committed to achieving excellence and delivering outstanding results.
  • Competitive holiday allowance plus bank holidays
  • Free Trewithen Dairy award-winning products, never run out of milk again.
  • Company events including a company BBQ cooked by the senior team, throughout spring and summer.
  • Discounted Gym membership and Snap Fitness.

Don’t have everything mentioned on the JD? Don’t worry we understand it’s difficult to tick all the boxes. We are keen to hear your experiences and we could work together. Attitude and willingness to learn are the most important!
