About Michael & Lynsey Barrett
Located in South East Cornwall between Looe and Liskeard, Michael and Lynsey are in partnership with Michael’s parents and are the third generation tenants on the Duchy of Cornwall Farm, Tredinnick.
The farm is home to 275 Holstein Friesian cows and 280 head of beef and dairy youngstock. They farm 630 acres including some steep land that is part of environmental schemes, with a further 20 acres recently released back to the Duchy for tree planting. Michael and Lynsey employ 1 full time worker and 2 part time milkers.
They have been working with Trewithen for 18 years and currently produce 2.75 million litres per year.

They really enjoy working with a local business that employ many local people and support the local economy. They are really proud to supply Trewithen and to see their milk turned into so many delicious Cornish products.

Favourite Cow
Michael’s favourite cow is McCormick Christmas. She will be 11 this year, and in 2022, gave birth on Christmas Day. The sire of that calf was named Northpole. Over the years, she has also had two sets of twins.
