Key Responsibilities
Buyer & Supplier Management
- Key account management of top suppliers (defined by scale or business critically)
- Negotiate and collaborate with suppliers to ensure the best value
- Identify efficiency opportunities in product usage, specification, and pricing
- Establish and monitor service-level agreements (SLAs) with suppliers
Procurement & Systems Development
- Develop and manage information control systems related to suppliers and purchased items
- Ensure procurement systems provide accurate and accessible information to stakeholder
Milk & Farmer Relations
- Work alongside the Chief Procurement Officer to manage relationships with farmers
- Coordinate across departments (Transport, Technical, Finance) to meet farmer needs
Sustainability & Environmental Impact
- Drive Scope 3 emissions monitoring and improvement efforts
- Lead on packaging use through remove, reduce, recycle initiatives
- Collaborate with suppliers and farmers to track and communicate sustainability progress
- Utilise software solutions for efficient reporting and data recording
Stakeholder Collaboration & Team Management
- Maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders: Planning, Supply Chain, Operations, NPD, Technical/Quality, Finance & IT
- Influence and coordinate across departments to drive business improvement
Qualifications & Skills
- Highly collaborative with strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to coordinate actions and influence stakeholders effectively
- Strategic thinker who is proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong data manipulation and analytical skills
