The Blend

How to make perfect milk for coffee…

THE PERFECT BLEND

Ever since Trewithen Dairy’s inception, co-founder Bill Clarke has had a very clear vision of what makes the perfect blend of milk. He calls it “The Blend” because it’s a blend of skills he is looking for from his contracted farmers. Bill is a former dairy farmer and he and his family hand pick the farmers they work with. Bill will tell you “not all milk is the same”. Therefore he seeks out dairy farmers who can produce the quality of milk he wants for Trewithen Dairy products.

“It is not one system, breed or type of feed that delivers the best milk, it is the holistic approach to ‘the perfect
blend’, achieved from the rich diversity of breeds, feeds and grasses and working with farming families who care.”

THE PERFECT BALANCE

For any barista, this blend of care, knowledge and expertise creates the perfect milk for great tasting coffee.

Baristas are experts in delivering what coffee lovers are seeking – that perfect balance between bitter and sweet to satisfy their taste buds.

We listen to baristas. They’re looking for a full-bodied milk which easily and consistently creates a stable microfoam, for a creamy, smooth ‘mouth feel’. They want a fresh flavour with a touch of richness, but not so much that it overpowers the all-important coffee.

Champion Barista Hugo Hercod believes Trewithen Dairy Milk provides the perfect balance. See for yourself in our film with Hugo, below.
