Surfers Against Sewage

“Looking after our local and global environment is at the forefront of our minds. That requires us as a business to take action on the things we control, while also spreading the word to our customers about how best to recycle our packaging and minimise waste; we have collective responsibilities to assist in tackling this. Last year we introduced a simple on-pack message, “Wash Me, Squash Me, Recycle Me”, which now features across our brand to bring clear direction on what our customers should do with our empty cartons and this is supported with an online video. Here at Trewithen we are aiming for ‘Zero to Landfill’ by end of 2020, we generate solar electricity on our family farm and we are partners with the Bee Conservation Trust on a unique project in the UK to help safeguard the declining wild bumble bee populations. However, our employees and our customers continually challenge us to do more.

“We have teamed up with SAS so we can do just that – more! We are proud that our business and team can support the excellent work this organisation does and we hope this will encourage us all to do ‘our bit’ to achieve our common goal of a better environment for all.”
