Job Type: 4 on 4 off shift, 18:00 to 06:00

Salary: £12 per hour, rising to £12.55 after completion of training or 3 month probationary period. Plus shift premiums.

About the role

We are looking for a Despatch Operative to join our team.

This is a full-time role working a night shift from 6pm to 6am, 4 on 4 off.

Key Duties & responsibilities:

  • Assembling and picking stock safely and securely for Customer Orders
  • Keeping the workplace neat and tidy adopting a “clean as you go policy”
  • Loading and unloading trailers with pallets and cages of stock
  • Maintaining stock rotation in date order
  • Complying with Trewithen food standards
  • Complying with all Trewithen Procedures
  • Achieving picking and loading KPIs
  • Following Trewithen Dairy’s Health and Well-Being Policy and all company procedures or guidelines which assist this.
  • Following Trewithen Dairy’s Food Safety and Quality Policy and all company procedures or guidelines which assist this.

About you

The ideal candidate will be happy working in a fast-paced environment and have a positive can-do attitude.

Personal requirements:

  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent level of English – both written and verbal required
  • Be able to work as part of a team but also work on own initiative
  • A flexible can-do attitude
  • Good literacy and numeracy
  • Be able to cope with the physical aspects of the role
  • Be able to work for a long period in a chilled environment
