Trewithen Dairy is celebrating yet another fruitful awards season with a string of accolades just announced.
Quite literally ‘cream of the crop’ is Trewithen Dairy’s Cornish Clotted Cream, which scooped a Taste of the West Gold Award and a Great Taste 1-star rating. Great Taste judges described it as: “A luscious looking, golden, thick, unctuous cream with a delightful richness and sweetness on the palate. Beautifully clean and uncloying on the finish, a great example.”
Not to be outdone, Trewithen’s Natural Yoghurt also won a Great Taste 1-star rating and was ‘Highly Commended’ by Taste of the West judges. The third product to be awarded was Trewithen Dairy’s Spreadable, which received a Great Taste 1-star, with judges praising its “lovely light colour” and “great spreadable texture”.
Trewithen Dairy’s Managing Director, Francis Clarke, says everyone is thrilled with this year’s success: “All of these awards are testament to the hard work which goes into making our high-quality products, right from the local farmers who supply our milk, to our drivers who help to deliver it, and everyone in between. Both Great Taste and Taste of the West Awards are renowned for their experienced and knowledgeable judges, as well as the high calibre of entrants, so to receive the awards with such complimentary feedback is high-praise indeed.”
